Service Sunday | July 31
This week we gathered for our regular 5th Sunday outreach. This week we wanted to give back to the community and to the Mesa Christian Academy where we meet for our monthly Sending Service. We ordered a bunch of backpacks and school supplies, then got together for a “Pizza and Packing” party. After we packed 30 backpacks we went into the community and offered to give the backpacks away to families in need! We were able to giveaway 30 backpacks full of supplies, and we were leftover with a handful of partially filled bags that we’ll give out over the next few days.
Part of the reason we do our Service Sundays is that we recognize that worship is more than one thing, and sometimes serving others is an act of worship. Although we were just filling and handing out backpacks, hopefully we were able to bring joy and worship our creator as well!
